Ash Wednesday and Lent


Lent begins this year on Ash Wednesday 5th March. We will be having a service of Holy Communion with Ashing at Ravensden at 11am & another at Keysoe 7pm.


Lent Groups


Ravensden "Lent for Everyone" by Tom Wright.

Join us for a pancake party on Shrove Tuesday 4th March at 4pm -6pm at Cherry Orchard Farm, Bolnhurst at the kind invitation of Stephen & Fiona Selley, and then at Ravensden on Tuesdays at 1:30pm for tea & coffee with discussions from 2pm -3pm on 11th, 18th, 25th March and 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd April – using Tom Wright’s Book ‘Lent for Everyone’

Please let Stephen know if you are coming to the Pancake Party. Also please contact Tim and Stephen to be included in the numbers for the study book (no charge). Even if you can't make Tuesday afternoons, you can still have a copy if you would like to have a daily reading and reflection leading up to Easter.

Bolnhurst Old School "The Sacraments" by Jane Williams. We meet on Thurs 13th, Wed 19th, Thurs 27th March and Wed 2nd & Wed 9th April at 12.30pm to share an optional lunch, with discussion from 1.30pm. RAVENSDEN Tuesday 18th March 7.30pm – For All the Saints

A sequence of choral music celebrating the Saints by Cantamus.  Tickets £10 (cash only on the door) Wine and light refreshments (donations requested).  All proceeds to All Saints Church Ravensden.


Regular Events


Wilden ‘Cuppa at the Church’ every Wednesday 10am – 12noon.  Come and join us and meet the neighbours. 


Ravensden Village Hall Community Cuppa, Tuesday  4th March 2pm - 4pm  (1st Tuesday of month ) Entrance £2.00 includes tea and cake.

 

Colmworth Coffee Stop - there will be no coffee stop on 5th March but will be back as normal on 19th March 10:30am to 12noon   (usually 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

 

Bolnhurst Old School Coffee Morning on Saturday 22nd March 10.30am -12pm. Contact Wendy: wendylevy2811@gmail.com or 01234 376754

 

Keysoe Chequers Pub Men’s Group (TMG)  meets on Thursday 13th March 7.30pm - 9.30pm Time out for a pint and sausage roll. All men from our 5 churches and others welcome. Contact Doug McWilliam (01234 376556) or Rev Tim Wilson (07808 865716)

 

Colmworth  Community Lunch Fridays  21st March at 12.30pm.  £7.50. Please advise Kate Abrahams (01234 378132) or Wendy Jephcote (01234 376277) if you would like to join.

 

Souper Friday at Bolnhurst Old School  - 28th March 12pm - 1.30pm.  We will be serving homemade soup and rolls, maybe even a pudding.
